Autumn (fall, for our American friends). The season of scarves, changing leaves, pumpkin spiced lattes, and shorter days. Not really the season of sunglasses, right? Wrong! As long as the sun is still shining, sunglasses are necessary (gotta protect your eyes from those harmful UV rays, amirite?).
However, getting a pair or two of new sunglasses that will match your favorite knitted sweater can be costly. That’s why I put together this list of my top five MessyWeekend sunglasses that won’t cost you an arm and a leg but are sure to be your favorite accessory this autumn!
5. HOBBES Army
The dark green frame makes this pair a must-have addition to your autumn wardrobe. HOBBES is an injection model known for its incredible durability and flexibility, so they are perfect both for city-life and for those who love to hit the slopes. At just €60, these are the most affordable of the MessyWeekend collection. Find them here.
4. LOUIE Black
The black frame color is a total classic and perfect for the shorter autumn days. This is one of the original models MessyWeekend updated to be part of their MW Collection, with new detailing that elevates the overall look. They are handcrafted from premium quality acetate and reinforced with 5-barrel hinges. Certainly one of the most high-end sunglasses in their collection. Get your own here.
3. LENNON Gold
Without a doubt one of my favorite models, LENNON Gold is a lightweight metal frame with brown lenses. The whole look is very warm and simple, so it’s a great accessory during the months when red, yellow, and orange are all the rage. Unlike similar models from other brands, LENNON isn’t too small, meaning it suits faces of all shapes and sizes. Get yours here.
2. COREY Black
COREY Black is one of my favorites because it gives any look a bit of edge. Just want to wear sweatpants and a t-shirt all day? No problem, throw on a pair of COREY Black and your entire outfit will be pulled together for that “I’m cool and laid back” vibe. Check them out here.
1. NEW DEPP Horn
Number one on my list has to be the new NEW DEPP Horn. MessyWeekend recently announced that they have changed the lens colors of both their NEW DEPP Horn and Tortoise models (both will now have brown lenses). Personally, I love the new look of Horn. The brown lenses soften the overall look and give the details of the frame more of an ability to shine.
Right now, they are only available for preorder. The first batch has already arrived and been shipped out. But they have more arriving soon, so hurry before they’re gone! Shop them below or here.
